A local coffeehouse with a unique atmosphere, sort of a community-gathering place. We have also become a well-known venue for musicians, hosting acoustic level performances of every kind of music from acoustic rock, traditional Celtic, comedic, spiritual, folk to blues and even bluegrass.

Provide a wide range of musical experiences to the people of the area. Local musicians take our stage a couple of times each week, but we also host nationally and internationally touring acts.
What we offer…
You , as the performer, are away from all the hassle and bustle of the business aspect of the coffeehouse because the entertainment room is not near the machines and other customers who are there for other reasons.
The entertainment room is a great place to hold meetings, bridal showers, baby showers, craft fairs, etc. A 53″ big screen TV is available for your convenience and the room holds 53 people maximum. Overflow can be in the cafe side which holds an additional 50 people.

Hello, I’m a singer-songwriter from Marquette and I would love to play at Java and Jive. I do solo shows or with my trio, The Truckey Boys (with my brothers) and other acoustic groups as well. Please contact me to discuss possible dates. I’ve been performing at coffee houses, bars, clubs and theatres for over 20 years from Connecticut to Nebraska and all over Michigan.
